My Cedarwood Hair Growth Project

I am a skeptical person and typically need to see it to believe it, which is why I continue to be pleasantly surprised by EO's.  I also don't mind using myself as a guinea pig as a part of the process. Cedarwood is one of my favorite Young Living oils for many reasons.  To begin with, it is super cheap!  Secondly, it promotes relaxation (it is an ingredient in my foot rub I use at night), and third...it has helped me grow my hair back!!!  I am excited to finally share my results after using Cedarwood for nearly four months.  The results are amazing!

Before I was pregnant, my hair was already noticeably thinner and that can be kind of depressing.  It is just something that happens to some of us lucky females as we age.  During pregnancy it did get much thicker and I was loving my lustrous strands, however, I had already heard about the after pregnancy mass exodus of hair that would inevitably occur at some point.  Sure enough, about three months post-partum I had countless strands jumping ship in the shower.  Thinning hair can leave one feeling a little self conscious and I decided to see what I could do about it!

I had already started using Cedarwood to promote better sleep at night and so I was excited to see that one of its many benefits included hair! (read more about Cedarwood). I decided I would make a hair mask and use it every night and document any progress with pictures.  At first I used coconut oil with a drop or two of Cedarwood, but I found Almond oil to work much better.  I massaged this into my scalp (where I had noticeable bare scalp) nightly for the first two months, then every other other night for the past two  months. At the beginning I thought, "This will never work, but hey, at least that scalp massage I am giving myself every night is relaxing."  I allowed myself to be patient and am once again shocked by the results of using EO's! Take a look for yourself!

You can clearly see the scalp in the pic from August.  It looks a little better in September and much better in the last pic (which should actually say November, not October.  I will  make edits later). So, with a little patience, a little perseverance, and a little Cedarwood, I am happy to have a little more hair :)

I would love to find out how Young Living EO's can help you!  Have questions? Send me a PM.  I am here to help!
